W4 – Shaping Regional Priorities for Measuring Unmet Care Needs in Later Life: CARE∞TRACK Workshop

Date: Sunday 5 July
Venue: RAI Amsterdam
Time: 09:00 – 13:00
Maximum number of participants: 40
Organizer: CARE∞TRACK – Consortium for Advancing Research and Evaluation in Tracking Unmet Health & Social Care Needs of Older Populations

Target audience:
Participants from all regions will benefit from the transferable methodological approach, comparative insights, and opportunities for collaboration across diverse health and social care systems.

Agenda

The workshop presents two core innovations:

  • Methodological innovation: Participants are introduced to a conceptual model for understanding the drivers of unmet care needs in older people, which aligns established access frameworks (e.g. availability, acceptability, affordability, and appropriateness) with longitudinal measurement strategies. This supports more consistent estimation of unmet need across time and contexts.
  • Technological innovation: The workshop demonstrates the tools and resources available through the CARE∞TRACK platform, which are designed to be usable by both researchers and policy agencies. These tools aim to lower barriers to implementation and support translation into routine monitoring and policy analysis.

Objectives

The goals of the workshop are twofold:

  • To gather regional insights to inform the development of a Europe-focused research agenda for the CARE∞TRACK consortium.
  • To share the conceptual tools and research agenda of CARE∞TRACK with researchers and policy stakeholders, supporting alignment across studies and settings.
