Anushiya Vanajan

Dr. Anushiya Vanajan is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology at the Vrije University, where she studies the individual, organizational and sectoral determinants of older workers’ healthy pathways to retirement. She is an internationally trained interdisciplinary researcher with an educational background in Psychology and Epidemiology. Her work spans across the fields of gerontology, occupational health, demography, and social epidemiology. Her passion lies creating evidence-based solutions and suggestions that could better the lives of individuals in disadvantaged positions. She currently is leading the data collection of the Healthpath Longitudinal Study, while contributing to research and teaching at the department.
