Dr. Gabriela Lunansky is a postdoctoral researcher at the Amsterdam UMC, affiliated with the Epidemiology & Data Science department and the Longitudinal Aging Study Amsterdam (LASA). With a PhD in Psychological Methods, she applies innovative data analysis techniques to understand resilience and healthy aging, using a complex systems framework. Complex systems thinking encourages us to study the interconnectedness of mental, physical, and social domains as one integrated system, in which declines in one domain of functioning can trigger other declines as well. During a fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), she co-organized a conference on complexity science and aging research, advancing interdisciplinary collaboration. She is committed to further advancing complex systems thinking in the field of aging research, combining methodological innovation and practical applications.
