Jeroen Dikken

Dr. Jeroen Dikken is an associate professor of Urban Ageing at the Research Group of Urban Ageing, Faculty of Social Work & Education, The Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and a board member of the Dutch Association of Nurses at the department of Geriatrics and Gerontology (V&VN G&G). Educated as a nurse (BN), Health Scientist (MSc), and Gerontologist (MSc), he strives to advance the field of ageing through his research and teaching. With expertise in a broad range of research methods and techniques, particularly clinimetrics, he is currently engaged in measuring age-friendly cities and communities on a global level. Dr. Dikken’s work is closely aligned with the World Health Organization’s framework for age-friendly environments, contributing to efforts that promote inclusive and sustainable (care) settings which foster the wellbeing and resilience of senior populations. His commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals supports global priorities for good health, reduced inequalities, and sustainable, resilient communities
