RAI Amsterdam
The current RAI Amsterdam complex on the Zuidas was opened in 1961. Before then, the RAI was based in a building on another street for forty years. In the early years until 1922, the RAI did not have its own exhibition centre, but usded Amsterdam’s illustrious – now no longer existing – Paleis voor Volksvlijt. The very first RAI exhibition was organized there in 1896. The RAI Association, which organized this exhibition, was founded in 1893. RAI Amsterdam is designed for a wide variety of events. With access to 12 halls, each surrounded by several large and small halls, lounges and other facilities. RAI Amsterdam is less then 12 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam.
